PEER HELPER PROGRAM
Peer Helper Power Point

The PEER HELPERS are selected students
trained as
leaders for our Middle School 
through the Guidance Department.

PEER HELPERS will assist with tasks such as:
  • mentoring new students to the district
  • helping with transition from elementary to middle school
  • school-wide prevention programs and activities
Students must:    be responsible
                               be trustworthy
                       maintain good grades

(1)  Any student can nominate themselves or another student for the program when announced
      at the beginning of the
school year.  Teachers also make nominations. 
(2)  Select students are invited to complete an application after nominations are reviewed. 
(3)  Faculty input representing all grade level teams makes the final student recommendations.
(4)  Unfortunately, we always have to limit the number of Peer Helpers that are trained every year.
       Therefore, we cannot train all
of our qualified nominations
